NEW Bus route 899 from Camping Harfenmühle.
Start of the call bus line is 1 August. You must book 60 minutes in advance.
With the Rufbus you can reach the future Wildenburg national park with its wildlife enclosure and Saar-Hunsrück Climb, historic Herrstein with shopping facilities, Fischbach copper mine and Weierbach railway station.
From Wildenburg, Herrstein and Weierbach you can easily reach Idar-Oberstein.

You arrive by car to Harfenmühle like this:
From the North (A 61)
Highway A.61 - Way out at Rheinböllen / Simmern (Abfahrt 45)- B 50. After 50 km turn on the left in direction Bruchweiler, Kempfeld, Herrstein ( We are situed between Kempfeld and Herrstein)
From the East (A 61)
Highway A.61 – Way out at Bad Kreuznach - B 41. After approx.. 50 km turn on the right in the direction Fischbach, Herrstain, Kempfeld ( We are situed between Kempfeld and Herrstein)
From the South (A 6)
Highway A.6 direction . Way out Landstuhl West in direction of Trier ( Highway A 62). Leave at Birkenfeld B269 Then take the direction Morbach and then Bruchweiler, Kempfeld, Herrstein (We are situed between Kempfeld and Herrstein).
From 1.8.2022 by bus
Call bus line 899 runs hourly on all days of the week, including Saturday and Sunday during the day, on the following route:
Weierbach railway station - Fischbach copper mine - Herrstein with historic town centre and shopping facilities - Asbach - Harfenmühle campsite - Kempfeld - Wildenburg with national park gate and wildlife enclosure (partly continuing to Bruchweiler Edelsteinklinik). Possibilities for changing trains to Idar-Oberstein and the Erbeskopf National Park Gate.
